Fence. Camera. Kenya.

Mum and I have begun our summer project. We are going to build a fence but not just any fence, a cool fence. It's going to be two metres high and eight metres long (on my side of the house). I designed it myself XD and it was approved by the boss in the house (Mum). It's due to be complete sometime this week and we expect it to be a rather cheap but still with heaps of qaulity.

The one who calls herself my sisiter is currently in South Africa. She likes it there. Everything is cheap there. She likes it there. By request Marlene bought me a camera today. A bloody good camera, nothing else will do. She found a "system camera", the downside was that you got a fullsize printer, a lense and two two Gb memorycards with it. It cost R 5000 (South African rand) XD which is about 3800 SEK!!! I hate to brag but ... I am the best. I guess I have to learn ow to take pictures now!! :O

One last thingy for today. ;) Kenya. It's getting closer and I'm getting more and more ready. Only the most attractive and lush woman/women could keep me from leaving. Today, with assistance from mum and dad, I managed to get hold of a visa card we also managed to get my insurance set up. just my vaccinations and visa("visum") left. XD

Friends. Lenses. Toes.

I've been taking it easy for a few days and simply getting ready for Kenya. I've now bought a new backpack, for hiking and the actual trip there. I've also bought my tickets, there and back.  But in the middle of my planning Otto called me. It was great to her from him as I haven't seen him since last summer. There house just got finished today and he came over and spent two days here before moviing to the new house. Before he came I finally learnt how to play minesweeper so a lot of time was spent playing this absolutely thrilling game. Yesterday we went into town to meet Adam at his place. We took it easy there too, played PS3 and watched football we aslo went up to Norrvalla and played football with Peyman and a few other guys.

Yesterday (wednesday) just as we had finished playing football, I looked into my wallet and found a slip, that was supposed to remind me of my apointment with the optition! I smacked myself in the head, I was supposed to get my eyes checked to see if i can use lenses! This was the second time I missed an apointment for lenses! I think somebody up there doesn't want me to have lenses, i'll take it as a sign!

My toe was fu*ked up after playing football yesterday and becuase of it I missed my rugby training. I really wanted to go to training yesterday aswell! I think I'll rest my toe another week and come back to practice next wednesday, give the toe some time to go back to its normal size.

Otto 'n' Adam last year. Now I'm the shortest of the lot! :(

Mzungu.

Tomorrow will be a new day.

It's friday night. Apart from the occasional sound from Lilly, all is quiet. It's the middle of the night but the sun just went down an hour or two ago and will be coming up agian jst as soon. I look around in my room and see that I'm rather well off, I feel lucky and priveliged. I think of my family, of Marlene who's out on holiday in South Africa and of my parents who are fast asleep in bed.

It's not long left untill I leave for my own trip back to the continent I love so much. I worry that I've been away for so long I don't understand what it's like. I often think of my time in africa as so distant, almost as if it was all just a dream. I don't remember as much as I wish I did and it feels like I failed myself when I think that I've become more swedish than african.

When I was little I didn't belive in Father Christmas, the Tooth Fairie or any of those children stories, at least I don't remember believing in them. I think that's becuase we mainly lived in the rural areas and not long in the cities. I remember driving in to Lusaka (capital of Zambia) and thinking how cool it was. There were lights in the road (called cateyes) and never ending lighting on the side of the road. It was an amazing expieriance.

When I was little I didn't really want to become a police or astronaut. I wanted to be a farmer, or a doctor that drove formula one in his freetime. Not much has changed. Being a doctor has been in my mind alot lately and I have also thought of joining the army or owning my own hotel. Who knows. I am sure however, when I decide on what I want to be, I will become just that.

In a cartoon I saw recently a turtle said that we can't changed the past and we don't know what will happen in the future but today is a gift, that is why we call it the present. I can't go back in time and remember more of my early stages in life and I don't know what I might do in the future but today I can plan for the future and savour being alive and healthy.

Tomorrow will be a new day. Enjoy it.

Oskarshamn. Good news. Driving.

Been there. Done that. Well, it's true now. Dad had a few meetings in Oskarshamn, the place where I will disembark from Sweden's mainland. In a few weeks, or two months. I'll be going to Gotland to bicycle around the place. So far it's just Caitlin, Ericka and I that are going but who knows what will happen.

Got some great news from Erik when I got home. He said there was a drop dead sexy girl at rugby yesterday. Hopefully I'll be able to see this blackhaired beauty next week. XD He only had good things to say about her. Aparently she is well proportioned too. ^^

The trip home was long and perilous. I got to drive some of the way, which would have made me really happy if mum was gasping for breath every time I sped up or turned a corner. Dad was his usual self when it came to practicing driving, never speechless. I think I was the only person, apart from the dog, who was somewhat relaxed.

p.s. Forget the football. This might be in a club near you soon! Join our club, becuase we're hotter.

Bronze. Sleeping. Toes.

Got back from Viking Cup on late on Sunday afternoon. After two days and one night it was nice to be back (pure relief). But the weekend wasn't exactly pain-free. After the first day, three matches, my shoulder felt like it was only barely hanging on. The four matches the following day didn't help the "healing" process but there was a slight improovement.

One thing I noticed during Viking Cup was that I must be absolutely crap at throwing straight in the line-outs. SOmthing I'm definatly goingt to practice alot, as soon as my shoulder gets better.

Pff. I strongly dislike people who complain over their injuries (footballers). But what I'm going to complain is so justified it's mad! Sleeping on a 1 cm thick yoga mat on the floor in a seemingly run-down school is not good. When I woke up (one of the hundred times I woke up) I realised I had more pains than I had when I went to sleep!! Be ware of the yoga mats and don't ever use it as a sleeping mat, becuase you think it should be alright.

Toes. Seeing as I don't like injuries it is only fitting that I keep sustaining more and more of them as time goes by. Just as late as yesterday I had the fortune to injure my pinkytoe (?, little toe). It all happened on a glorious rainy day on the beach. To get the process started someone stepped on my toe. It ached a bit but I kept on, not more than ten minutes later another basterd steped on my toe agian!!! Still I pushed on. It was only a toe. Just as I was going to sprint to get the ball sand got through my toes and pushed them apart, all of them. Pain. Pain. More Pain. That was the end of practice for me. I stugged to put my socks and shoes on, but it is getting better now so I'm hoping for the best.

Oh yeah. Bronze. In Viking cup we came third place, out of a few teams. Not going to tell you how many! XD We won over half our matches but there were two teams we just couldn't win.

Over and out.

My Thumb!!!

Ouch!! God damn rugby. How can such a graceful and beautiful sport carry such injuries, it's beyond me. Well I'm am currently experiencing one of my first rugby injuries. The first time was many years ago when I pulled my ass muscle just before viking cup. Oddly enough I was cured briefly when I went to Liseberg for the first time in my life. Viking cup is next weekend and my thumb is acting up. Who knows what will happen? Maybe this is history repeating itself?

Beginners!!

My computer is fu*ked up abit. i had just written a long blog entry about how I was a beginner compared to all my friends blogs. I even wrote about how I'd been at Kalle and Petter's place and that I had met Petter girlfriends who is actually really cool. I even wrote something else. :P Yeah. I'm sure I did but you guy's will have to wait for my next entry! While you are patienty waiting I recomend you check out these very famous comedians!

1. Billy Connolly

3. Dane Cook

MVG!

The grades have finally been published at I'm really pleased. MVG in everything except civics. :P That officialy makes my meritvärde about 19.52 (out of a possible 20).

Graduation Day 2008.

It's not over just yet but I've heard enough whistles to last me a long time to come and now I'm looking forward to taking it easy for a month or two before I start to worry about getting completely ready to go to Kenya. The ceremony in school today was beautiful, the choir did a fantastic job and the whole even was very entertaining. Unfortunetly it will be the last time I meet my class for a while but I think I will be able to meet them agian before I leave. I hope!

Today I realised that my camera is not the best in the whole world. It keeps switching off and it devours batteries like a gluttonous man in a chocolate shop (me). I think I'm going to start thinking about buying a proper camera, maybe I'll find somthing in Kenya?

Pictures from today:

Last Day Before School Ends.

Today has been alright. Rugby was tough today, but it was fun. Emil is a good "teacher" and I actually like it when he gives me tips. It make's me a better player. What else has happend today? Hmm. Well I played FIFA 08 agianst Kalle and Petter, obviosly I lost miserably. I don't think I'll ever get a hang of computer games, I'll leave that up to everybody else.

Tomorrow is the last official day of school but it has felt like we've been free from school for atleast a week! It's a shame that I won't meet my classmates for another school year but I don't think anybody will be heartbroken over me leaving. Not for long at least, which is good.

Last night a few of my class mates and I were down at gröningen and and had a small brie down by the sea, it was tonnes of fun and I'd like to thank the girls who came up with the idea! The charades were hilarious. Elle Elle Number One. :P

The First and Bigest Problem.

What's better than to kick off a blog with a shitty problem(answer in the coment section)? I just thought of my biggest problem, at the moment. There's this broad, she's all anyone could ever want, she's driving me crazy. Not even in the good way because she is really, no seriously this isn't a joke, driving me mad. I have no idea how I can get through to her. No clue whatsoever. So, if you can find it in your heart to help me, phone me and give me good advise. Peace out. :)

Adventure. Blog. Me.

Hey everybody! This is going to be a blog for all my friends and family while i'm in Kenya. It's easier than e-mails :D and this way I don't have to write to ALL of you. not that I was going to. All you readers are also going to have to put up with some bullshit, like my thoughts and my problems. If you see me, don't talk about my problems, give me a suggestion how to fix it!
